I can't wait to see some new little Raiden's running around. Twilight Acres will have a puppy available from this litter. Contact me today for more details! When we like to hibernate my guys seem to prefer it outside. Here are some pictures of my guys having a blast in the snow! We had a very busy weekend at the Nationals with close to 70 Shilohs in attendance. Raiden competed against the champions and had some very tough competition and he looked great. He also represented his Dam Karma and Sire Brodie in the progeny class. Karma and Brodie took Best Sire and Best Dam in all 3 shows. Destiny also looked great and took home a Winners Bitch and Best of Winners. That was not all the weekend had to offer. Raiden and Destiny also completed there Herding Instint Test and Temperment Test with gunfire. See Raiden's page for a very short clip of his Herding Instint Test. I have lots of updates on Raiden since my last post. Raiden completed and passed all of his preliminary health testing, once he turns 18 months he will have his hips x-rayed again for his final results. June 19th -20th he competed in a ABI dog show in Orono and won a reserve Best in show. The picture below is from the Orono dog show. On July 10-11 he competed at a RBCSWO dog show in Woodstock. This was the first show with them that he competed as a champion. I really did not expect him to do that well since he is still young and he is now up against all the champions. But he yet again surprised me and took a Best in Breed Gr2 on the first day, then on the second day took Best plush in Specialty. He is now Grand Champion pointed with the RBCSWO. This weekend he will be competing in Milton at the fairgrounds, if anyone is in the area and would like to meet Raiden feel free to stop by and say hello. June 5th and 6th was the Caledonia dog show. Destiny and Raiden were showing. There was 4 regular shows and 2 herding specialities. Raiden came home with 1 - WD, 2 - BOW, 1- BOB group 3, and 2 excellent ratings in the herding specialities. He made us very proud. Special thanks goes to his breeder Cheryl Mundy from ShadowGate Farms for doing a great job showing him. Destiny came home with 2 - reserve WB and 1 excellent rating in specialty. Steve was her handler during the first show and then I handled her for the rest of the weekend. She showed very well and also made us proud. It was a very muddy weekend but we had a lot of fun. Here is a picture of Raiden with his handler and me with his BOB group 3 ribbon. You can even see the mud on his belly and on my pants. This past sunday Raiden passed his Therapy dog evaluation, he was such a sweetheart and all the people involved in the evaluation just loved him. After we are accepted by the organization (Therapeutic Paws of Canada) we will begin our visits. See www.tpoc.ca for more information on the programs they offer. Stay tuned for our upcoming adventures! On Sunday May 2, 2010, we loaded up and headed Baxter for Destiny's first experience with sheep. She did great, first she had to check everything out, then she turned on the sheep. She was awesome, she kept her distance and was very effective at hearding the sheep. Way to go Destiny! On April 14th Raiden turned 1. Raiden will be starting intermediate obedience class this week, then next week he will be starting a 4 week therapy dog prep course. After the course he will complete an evaluation to become certified with Therapeutic Paws of Canada. Stayed tuned for updates on Raidens training! On March 20-21 we loaded up and headed to the Toronto Sportsman Show for the Rare breed show. Destiny, Raiden and Zara along with a lot of other beautiful Shilohs struted around the ring. I was so impressed with my guys. They handled the crowds, noise, lots of dogs and visitors like pros. In the ring they were beautiful, bringing home ribbons from 1st to 4th in there class. Many people stoped at our booth for a visit and took some pictures. While waiting on the loading docks with all our stuff, Destiny, Raiden and Zara remained calm while people were coming and going with carts, 4-wheelers and more. They even impressed others and had there pictures taken again. These guys are impressing me more and more everyday. |
